Just Memories

It's been a while since I posted new postings on my blog. I did mention that when I stop for a while, it can really be a "while" till I get back on to it. Anyway, 25 years ago to date...my elder brother died of leukemia. I vaguely remember spending time with my brother back then. I was only 2 years old. Last night my grandpa passed away. He was not blood-related to me, but he and my nena looked after me ever since I was born and he was the only grandpa I knew growing up. My parents used to tell me that when my brother was sick in hospital, my nena used to prepare home-cooked food and my grandpa will bring it to my brother every single day without fail. My grandpa and nena really loved my brother and me as their own blood grandchildren, and we love them as much. I will surely miss my grandpa dearly but will always remember those fond memories that I had growing up in their care. "Well Koko, Grandpa is finally where you are at the moment, you two better behave yourself up there yeah...Grandpa is pretty new, so Ko you have to bring him on a tour of heaven. I'm sure he'll love it. It's definitely a much better place than where I am at the moment. I miss you Ko and make sure to tell grandpa I miss him too..." You and Grandpa will always have a special place in my heart...
